BRASILIA (Reuters) – Brazil’s economy minister Paulo Guedes said on Tuesday that the government will officially extend a 600-real per month emergency aid to informal workers for two more months, but payment will be made in installments to cover a longer period.
“This is what the law allows us to do. Once we have a better perception on the duration of this crisis, we can perfectly make these two payments of 600 reais, but phase them out so you can cover three months,” he said during a ceremony in Brasilia.
