WASHINGTON (Reuters) – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said on Tuesday that the Republican-controlled chamber’s efforts to pass police reform legislation will not end, if a key procedural vote to move forward with debate fails.
The top Senate Republican told reporters that he would take parliamentary steps to ensure that “this issue can come up again” without procedural delays, should the proposal to move ahead on the bill fail to win adequate support in a roll call vote due to occur on Wednesday.
