SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – There’s no mistaking construction season, as another major project gets underway in Sheboygan. Geele Avenue will be closed to through traffic between North 23rd Street and Calumet Drive starting Wednesday, with completion expected sometime in September.
The work will involve replacement of the water main and the lead service pipes, storm sewer work, concrete sidewalk repairs and new asphalt pavement on the street.
City Engineer Kevin Jump says that businesses and residents will have access using cross streets, and he asked for patience and cooperation during the project.
A second major north side project involves Superior Avenue east of Taylor fronting the St. Nicholas Hospital Campus. That one will conclude this November.
