SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Sheboygan County COVID-19 confirmed cases now total 190, as 4 were added since yesterday. 12 persons have recovered, while one of the 28 remaining active cases is now hospitalized with a coronavirus infection. According to the daily report from the Sheboygan County Division of Health Services, 178 negative test returns were received since Monday, putting the county positive rate at 2% of all tests.
The Wisconsin total of confirmed cases rose 263 in the last 24 hours, raising the running total to 25,331. 11,531 persons tested negative, yielding a positive rate of 2.2%, the lowest in the last 2 weeks. 5 more persons died, raising the state’s number of fatalities to 750.
The Wisconsin Department of Public Health has also activated a data dashboard enabling a search of data by region. The County DHS says this enables looking at trends of case counts for the Sheboygan County jurisdiction. This will be used to incorporate a more local dataset when implementing the Sheboygan Safe Restart Plan. Before this, the data used was statewide-only. That dashboard, which can be accessed through the link at the end of this story, is updated weekly on Wednesdays by 2 PM. As shown by that dashboard, Sheboygan County’s burden – or case rate – is considered Moderately High. The trajectory is on an upward trend and the activity level is High.
