SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – A new mental health awareness movement called “The Happiness Project” will be launched today at Sheboygan’s Above and Beyond Childrens Museum with the “unwhaling” of a giant mural on the north wall of the museum.
The project is led by Sheboygan North High Valedictorian Maddie Green, who was inspired to collaborate with the local community of people, schools and businesses to offer a continuing series of in-person and virtual programs – all designed to promote wellness through activities including meditation, yoga, tai chi, health and nourishment.
Launching it all will be the unveiling of the whale mural that was designed and painted by local artist Jessical Rassel and concluding with a confetti drop. This afternoon’s ceremony will have limited in-person attendance due to the pandemic, but can be viewed online on Facebook and Instagram between 4 and 4:30 this afternoon.
