NEW YORK (Reuters) – Credit Suisse Group AG
The Swiss bank is discontinuing nine of its exchange-traded notes (ETNs), including three linked to the Cboe Volatility Index <.vix>. It is also delisting six gold, silver and natural gas ETNs. Most of the ETNs are listed on Nasdaq. The two natural gas ETNs are listed on NYSE Arca.
The bank said it was delisting the ETNs “with a view to better align its product suite with its broader strategic growth plans.”
The VelocityShares Daily 2x VIX Short Term ETN
TVIX, along with the other ETNs, will be delisted as of July 12. Credit Suisse will suspend further issuance of TVIX on July 3. Previously issued notes will remain outstanding and may trade over the counter.
On Monday, TVIX shares were trading 2.4% higher at $159.55.
