(WHBL) – “Alice in Dairyland” is one of the state’s most visible ambassadors most years, promoting the dairy industry through personal appearances. But 2020 – and the pandemic that’s dominated life so far this year – has forced many changes. Appearances are mostly “out”, and with a new “Alice” to be selected on Saturday, the competition is going virtual.
Erica Helmer of Plymouth is one of six candidates hoping to become the 73rd “Alice”, and thanks to the online nature, everyone can follow the process from interview to crowning. The Wisconsin Department of Ag, Trade and Consumer Protection says you can watch the live Q&A session with all six candidates on Friday from 7 till 8:30 PM on the Alice in Dairyland Facebook page, and the selection will be streamed there on Saturday from 7:30 till 9 PM.
