SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – A two-phase reopening of all four UW-Green Bay campuses – including Sheboygan – was announced Monday by Chancellor Michael Alexander who said, “Our summer and fall enrollments are up and tell us people want to continue to learn.” Alexander said they’ll do everything they can to accommodate students while protecting the safety of students and staff alike.
Faculty and staff who must be on-campus to do their jobs will be able to return on July 1st, when some outdoor public spaces will also reopen. That’s the first time on-site for most who were forced out due to the pandemic in mid-March. Many will continue working virtually to limit numbers on campus. That’s phase 1.
Phase 2 brings students back to campus for the Fall Semester beginning September 2nd. Classes will be offered in various formats, including in-person, hybrid/blended, and online classes. The delivery methods for each class are still under development, and occupancy for each room will be reduced for social distancing and face masks will be required.
