SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The number of new COVID-19 cases reported daily by the Sheboygan County Division of Health Services has been on an upswing since Sunday, when the rate of new cases was flat at 115. On Monday, 4 more were added. 5 new cases were reported on Tuesday and as of today’s report, another 7 cases put the county total of coronavirus cases at 131. 302 additional test returns since Tuesday were negative, and 126 of those were tested at a long-term care facility where no cases were found. Of the 29 currently active cases – the most so far experienced – 1 is hospitalized. Another 94 have recovered, and with yesterday’s reported fatality, the death toll in Sheboygan County is 4.
By age group, 1 new case involved a person under the age of 20. 1 more was from 20-39 years old, 3 were between the ages of 40-59, 1 was between 60 and 79 years of age, and another was over 80.
In Wisconsin, 285 new positive tests were returned since Tuesday, representing 2.8% of all tested. Another 9,902 were negative and 10 more persons have died of a coronavirus infection, raising the state toll to 671.
