SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – No new coronavirus cases have been confirmed by the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health since Saturday, and across Wisconsin, only 2 deaths occurred since yesterday, the slowest pace since none were recorded between May 16th and 17th.
Within Sheboygan County, 56 test results – all negative – were reported in the last 24-hours. As another has now recovered, 23 active cases of COVID-19 remain here, and nobody is hospitalized.
In Wisconsin, the rate of positive returns as a percentage of total tests dropped from 2.7% Saturday to 2.3% today, continuing that downward trend. So far, 20,835 cases of coronavirus have been recorded in Wisconsin since the pandemic arrived. Two metrics used to trigger lessening of restrictions on a statewide basis remain “in the red”. The weekly downward trend of COVID-19 cases among health care workers has not been firmly established, and although flu-related concerns have been trending downward since June 3rd, on a 14-day basis that trend is essentially flat.
