SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – 326 test results in Sheboygan County have been reported since Monday’s update, and 192 negative tests were associated with mass testing of all residents and staff at an unnamed long-term care facility. The 5 new positive cases were not associated with that facility, and the daily update from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health reports that there are no active cases within any of such facilities at this time. 19 cases are active and 79 persons have recovered from a coronavirus infection. Sheboygan County currently has no hospitalizations connected with the disease.
The facility involved in today’s report was only one of several that are being investigated, and it is the only one having reported results.
As far as the recently-completed mass testing conducted at the Sheboygan County Fairgrounds in Plymouth, County DHS says that it is compiling results as it becomes available to them, and final numbers will be reported within the week. The Wisconsin Department of Military Affairs earlier reported that over 250 tests were conducted there last Thursday through Saturday.
In Wisconsin, 10,522 tests were conducted since yesterday and 374 of those, or 3.6%, returned positive results. Another 12 persons died since Monday, raising the state death toll due to COVID-19 to 607.
