SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – The Union Pacific Railroad began replacing its crossing on New Jersey Avenue just east of the Sheboygan River bridge on Wednesday, requiring a mile-and-a-half detour to navigate the project. Superintendent of Streets & Sanitation Jason Blasiola made that announcement Wednesday morning. The closure will last through Friday, requiring motorists to bypass the area via 17th Street, Erie Avenue and 14th Street.
Also, City Engineer Jordan Suscha announced that North Avenue will be closed for utility work between 6th and 7th Streets today. That project is expected to wrap up Friday afternoon.
