CAIRO (Reuters) – Qatar has extended a program that provides guarantees to local banks by the Qatar development bank, with interest-free loans for a full year instead of 6 months, its state news agency reported on Tuesday.
The agency added that the move would support the private sector, which has been hit by the novel coronavirus outbreak.
Qatar has reported 33,969 coronavirus cases so far, and 15 deaths.
