SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Fire danger is very high in Sheboygan County and the northern 2/3 of the state, and it’s not much better in the south.
Although no wildfires are found in the state right now, the Wisconsin DNR is on high alert and ready to respond if one erupts. The agency is asking anyone with questions about burn permits or regulations to contact your local fire department or municipal official since rules vary from place-to-place even within the county. So check to be sure before you burn or, better yet, don’t plan any fires until conditions improve.
