As the agriculture sector gets busy with spring activity, extra attention is being directed towards the migrant community which makes up a significant part of the farm labor pool. Family Health La Clinica, along with the Wisconsin Farmworkers’ Coalition, is providing free assistance to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the Migrant and Seasonal Ag Worker Population. They are poised to provide education, screenings and to connect workers to medical services. Masks can be procured and there’s a limited fund to help with supply costs. The agencies are also working in concert with state and county public health resources, and looking at connecting key employers with telehealth stations to readily connect with their agencies’ health and education professionals.
In order to asses the level of services needed they request that those who are hiring Migrant and Seasonal workers fill out a survey that can be accessed at: msawpartnerna2020.questionpro.com
