SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Major work now underway on Sheboygan’s South Pier by the Army Corps of Engineers is impacting traffic through Sheboygan’s South Pier District. Equipment needed for the project arrived on a barge last week, and City Engineer Ryan Sazama announced Monday that the cul-de-sac at the east end of South Pier Drive is now closed to both vehicular and pedestrian traffic.
Access to all businesses and residences in the district will be maintained at all times, but closure of the cul-de-sac is anticipated to last until January 1st of next year. The South Pier project itself won’t be done until the end of 2022.
