TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – A man is in custody after a high speed chase in the Town of Sheboygan Wednesday night. The Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Department says they tried to stop a vehicle on Mueller Road shortly before midnight, but the driver wouldn’t stop, leading deputies on a chase that reached speeds of 90 miles per hour.
After spike strips were deployed, the man’s car finally stopped on Superior Avenue, but he refused to get out of the car. After responding officers broke the window of his car to get him out, he assaulted the officers before being placed in hand cuffs.
The man is now facing his 4th OWI charges, along with felonies for assaulting the officers and resisting arrest.
