SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Governmental entities are essential services that don’t shut down during the Coronavirus Pandemic and so find themselves at elevated risk of becoming exposed and further transmitting the virus. In order to reduce that risk as much as possible Sheboygan County Administrator Adam Payne announced on Thursday that access to its facilities will be further limited. Anyone that needs to do business with the County in-person must now make an appointment in advance. No visitors are allowed at the County Detention Center or Jail, or at Rocky Knoll in Plymouth.
Payne said that: “These are unprecedented times. We are taking these added precautions to protect the public and our staff.” He added that everyone must be a part of the solution and practice social distancing as much as possible.
