UNDATED (WHBL) – As the pace of life stalls under the Coronavirus Pandemic, some things don’t wait for anything and that’s especially true with agriculture. With changing weather, fields need to be tilled and planted and, eventually, those crops will need help against pests. Pesticide application has to be done by a certified commercial pesticide applicator, but those certification exams, usually conducted in-person, are on hold because of the virus. Now the University of Wisconsin’s Pesticide Applicator Training Program has developed an online option for exams. Some exams are ready now, and others will be available soon. The Wisconsin Department of Ag, Trade and Consumer Protection has extended current expiration dates to October 31st, but those who need to get certified should visit the DATCP’s website to get going with online exams.
