MANITOWOC COUNTY, WI (WHBL) – Several law enforcement agencies joined the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Department in an incident that included a 20-mile chase with speeds reaching 100 mph at about 9 o’clock Wednesday morning.
About 15 minutes after receiving an “Attempt to Locate” message, a Manitowoc County Sheriff’s deputy spotted a stolen Ford F350 pickup truck on US Highway 10 in the township of Manitowoc Rapids. The driver, 24-year-old Luis Narvaez of Manitowoc, fled the attempted traffic stop and was pursued at high speed until being stopped in Brown County. A pistol was located that Narvaez admitted possessing, and stolen property missing from the vehicle was later found at his home.
Narvaez is being held on charges of fleeing an officer as well as weapons, stolen property, meth possession, operating while revoked and bail jumping charges.
Reedesville and De Pere Police, and Brown County Sheriff’s departments were also involved in Narvaez’ eventual capture.
