SHEBOYGAN COUNTY, WI (WHBL) – In Friday’s Coronavirus update from the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health, no new cases of the COVID-19 disease were recorded. The number of recoveries from the illness now outnumber active cases 4-3, while the total number of positive tests remains 7.
Public Health is identifying and contacting anyone who has been in close contact with a person who has COVID-19. These people are asked to quarantine themselves for 14 days from their exposure and will be monitored for fever and respiratory symptoms.
As reported yesterday, testing supplies are limited in Wisconsin, and tests are only being conducted upon recommendation by a physician, known as a “provider testing order”.
Due to the economic disruption caused by the Coronavirus pandemic, and because they would threaten personal security and public health, Governor Evers today ordered that no foreclosures or evictions be allowed for 60 days. This is in agreement with the policy emplaced on March 18th by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, the federally-backed mortgage lenders.
Persons are still urged to practice “social distancing” by staying at least 6 feet apart, to not gather in groups of more than 10, to wash hands thoroughly and frequently, and to limit excursions to necessary trips. If you display fever and/or acute respiratory symptoms that you suspect could be due to Coronavirus, you should call your provider and isolate yourself from others for at least 14 days after the onset of symptoms, or 72 hours after symptoms disappear.
