SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Sheboygan-based, commercial print provider Franzen Graphics has responded to the need for protective gear needed in the COVID-19 fight by producing disposable face shields. Those shields are used by emergency and essential service personnel to protect against contracting the virus when responding to emergencies.
Franzen Graphics prototype is capable of being produced in 10 – and 20 millimeter clear plastic that can be cleaned as needed or disposed of when necessary. Franzen Graphics says they’re able to produce 75,000 face shields a week as long as material is available. Franzen’s president Justin Webb says they are now working with the State of Wisconsin to produce and deliver those face shields to healthcare organizations across the nation.
