SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – No one was injured in a Sunday morning fire at a residence in the 3300 block of North 13th Street in the city of Sheboygan.
According to a press release, the Sheboygan Fire Department received a call shortly before 4:30am and arrived at the scene to find heavy fire coming from the porch. After putting out the exterior fire, firefighters entered the building and extinguished the rest of the blaze.
The occupants of the residence were awakened by the smoke detectors and were able to make it out safely before firefighters arrived. The Red Cross is assisting them with lodging.
Damage is estimated at $45,000 and the cause is under investigation.
