SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – With a global pandemic of coronavirus declared by the World Health Organization, local governmental bodies are preparing to respond to and manage for the eventuality of its appearance here.
According to a news release from the County Administrator’s office, the Sheboygan County Division of Public Health is convening a panel of key health care providers and other stakeholders to ensure a coordinated, multi-agency response as the situation evolves. County Administrator Adam Payne said in the news release that all county departments, including Health and Human Services, Rocky Knoll, Building Services, Human Resources, and the Sheriff’s Department are actively engaged with planning for the eventuality of an outbreak, and that all county departments are updating their existing Continuity of Operations plans to ensure essential services continue to be delivered regardless of the hazard.
The Sheboygan County Division of Public Health will release weekly updates at noon every Thursday beginning today on the County’s Website, the County’s Public Health Facebook Page and by email.
