Last fall, Virginia voters gave Democrats full control of the state’s government for the first time in a very long time. It didn’t take long for Virginia Democrats to commence with their gun-grabbing efforts.
Proponents of this proposed legislation claim that it will ‘make people safer’ in Virginia.
But, in reality, this would do nothing to prevent mass terror attacks in the state.
Contrary to what you hear from many on the left these days, guns are not to blame for mass terror attacks.
Remember, there are plenty of mass terror attacks that take place in the United States that do not involve an AR-15 or a gun of any sort. In many instances, mass terror attacks are carried out with knives, explosives, vehicles, or some other tool.
The tool used in mass terror attacks varies. Thus, the tool is not the problem. It is merely an otherwise harmless inanimate object that is being deliberately used for sinister purposes.
The one thing that is constant in mass terror attacks is the criminal actor carrying out his/her sinister intentions in the form of a mass terror attack.
Thus, the person, not the tool, is to blame for mass terror attacks.
And the people pushing these gun-grabbing laws are fully aware of that reality. However, they speak disingenuously on the matter, because they have an ulterior motive.
The goal of the legislation is not the unrealistic stated goal of bringing an end to mass terror attacks. The true goal of the legislation is to disarm the law-abiding population.
The Democrat politicians know that it is much easier to push their party’s desired, historically-destructive policies (socialism, permanent open borders, court packing, etc.) on a disarmed patriotic population than it is to push those things on an armed, patriotic population.
Bit by bit, today’s Democrat Party elites are working to chip away at the Second Amendment rights of law-abiding U.S. citizens. Remember, once your rights are taken from you, it is nearly impossible to get those rights restored.
