SHEBOYGAN, WI (WHBL) – Wisconsin’s spring primary election takes place on Tuesday, February 18th, with the State Supreme Court race the only one appearing on most county ballots, though there are some notable exceptions, according to Sheboygan County Clerk Jon Dolson.
Five candidates will have a runoff to decide the four candidates that will compete in April for a Random Lake School Board seat. Dolson said that in his over 7 years as Clerk he hadn’t seen a primary for a school board election. That vote will involve portions of the Towns of Holland, Lyndon, Scott and Sherman as well as the Villages of Adell and Random Lake. In that race the five candidates will be cut to the four that will compete for two seats in April.
The other race is for County Board Supervisor District 20 which entails the Town of Wilson, the Village of Kohler and a portion of the Town of Sheboygan. Three candidates will be cut to the two that will compete in April.
Dolson doesn’t expect a large turnout, noting that the 2018 primary, which also had a Supreme Court contest, brought only 19% of Sheboygan County voters to the polls.
