Roy Wollner, 75, of Waldo, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2019, at home surrounded
by family.
Roy was born on February 29, 1944, in Port Washington, WI to Michael and Cynthia (Sperber)
Wollner. He was a graduate of Grafton High School. On December 5, 1964, Roy married Karen
Shoemaker in Milwaukee. After working for Jor-Mac in Grafton, Wisconsin for 37 years, Roy
completed his career working with Dave Tennies and his great team at Tennies ACE Hardware
in Kewaskum Wisconsin.
He was a member of Christian Life Church in Plymouth. Throughout his Christian ministry, he
served as treasurer, deacon and a member of the choir. He was a Boy Scout Leader and enjoyed
men's softball, camping, trains, fishing, hunting, archery, canoeing, yard work, gardening, and
his pet dog, Bella. For over 40 years, Roy looked forward to the annual family trip to Bond Falls.
Roy was an exceptionally devoted husband, exemplar father and loving grandfather. He would
do anything for his family. Roy truly was a great man. Most importantly, he was a Witness of his
Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Roy is survived by his wife, Karen; three sons, Michael (Kim) Wollner, Matthew (Claire)
Wollner and Mitchel (Tammy) Wollner; twelve grandchildren, Brandon (Samantha), Kevin,
Emily, Elysea, Lindsay, Kaitlyn, Annika, Michaela, David, Sarah, Luke and Josiah; and two
sisters-in-law, Annette (Robert) Runge and Mary Paylor.
Roy was preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Cynthia; three sisters, Gloria (Alfred)
Rauth, Patricia (Charles) McBride and Violet Thompson; and brother-in-law, Donald Paylor.
A funeral service to celebrate Roy's life will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2020, at 1:00 pm at
Christian Life Church in Plymouth with Pastor Richard York officiating. A burial will take place
at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family at Christian Life Church in Plymouth on Saturday,
January 4, 2020 from 11:00 am until the time of service at 1:00 pm.
A memorial fund is being established in his name for Christian Life Church and Milwaukee
Rescue Mission.
