Joan L. Hein (nee Loeffler), age 92, of Plymouth, WI, (Formerly of Bettendorf, IA) passed away
peacefully at home on Monday, May 6, 2019.
She was born in Chicago, IL on February 19, 1927, daughter of the late Edward and Magdalene
“Nell” (Magrini) Loeffler.
Joan was raised in Riverside, IL and graduated from Riverside Brookfield High School in 1945.
On April 28, 1956, she married Gregory Hein in Riverside, IL. He preceded her in death on
September 15, 2016.
Joan was a wonderful homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cross-stitching, and spending time with her loving family and
friends.
Joan is survived by her three children: Madalene (Kevin) Buelow of LaCrosse, WI, Stuart (Joan)
Hein of East Troy, WI, and Melinda (William) McCreedy of Plymouth, WI; Nine grandchildren:
Robert (Melissa), Camilla (John), Melanie, Lauren (Corey), Greg (April), Amanda (Andy), Cailin,
Grace, and Paul; Three great-grandchildren: Cale, Willa, and Ryker; Brother: Edward (Carol)
Loeffler of Lebanon, OH; Two step grandchildren: Austin and Ashley; and Two step great-
grandchildren: Leah and Emma.
She is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, sister-in-law: Lillian, and brother-in-law: Bud.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday (May 10, 2019) at 11:00 A.M. at St. John the
Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate.
Visitation will take place at CHURCH on Friday (May 10) from 10:30 A.M. until the time of Mass.
Private Burial will be held at the Town of Plum Lake Cemetery in Sayner, WI.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Joan’s name.
