William R. “Bill” Martin, age 80, of Plymouth, passed away on Tuesday (February 19, 2019) at
Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center.
He was born in Milwaukee, WI on December 28, 1938, son of the late Clarence and Marjorie (Jorstad)
Martin.
He attended grade school in Wauwatosa and graduated from Wauwatosa High School in 1957.
On November 12, 1960 he married Marilyn Groeschell at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church in Chicago
Bill was a member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Plymouth.
He worked at Blue Mound Golf Club retiring in 2002.
He enjoyed camping, hunting, and spending time with family and friends.
He is survived by: His loving wife: Marilyn of Plymouth; Daughter: Deborah Niemczyk of
Plymouth; Son: Andrew (Linda) Martin of Elkhart Lake; Three grandchildren: Melissa Martin,
Jacob Martin and Nicholas (Tiffany) Niemczyk; and Three great grandchildren: Logan Martin, Jaxx
Paquette, and James Niemcyzk.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son-in-law: James Niemcyzk and sister-in-law: Wendy
Groeschell.
Following Bill’s wishes cremation has taken place.
Memorial services will be held on Sunday (February 24, 2019) at the Suchon Funeral Home in
Plymouth. Visitation will take place from 1:00-4:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 4:00 P.M. Rev.
Casey Sugden, Pastor of Redeemer Lutheran Church will officiate. Inurnment will be in Wisconsin
Memorial Park in Brookfield, WI.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bill’s name.
