Dennis J. Kinney, 85, of Sheboygan, passed away on Monday,
January 28, 2019 at St. Nicholas Hospital.
He was born October 19, 1933 in Sheboygan to Dennis Arthur and Frieda
(Werner) Kinney. He graduated from
Sheboygan Central High School with the Class of 1952. Following graduation, Dennis proudly joined
the U.S. Air Force serving 27 months in Korea and Japan.
Dennis worked as a Data Processor for Hayssen. After retiring, he had many part-time jobs,
including most recently working at the Northside Piggly Wiggly. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching and
feeding the birds, and relocating the squirrels. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the
Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, Montreal Canadians and the local High School
Teams. He also enjoyed reading. Dennis was an Independent man, he had a sense
of humor and was always able to brighten your day if you were feeling
down. His family was his pride and joy,
spending time with his grandchildren, cheering them on in all their sports and
activities, and creating memories with them was his favorite pastime.
Dennis is survived by his children; Jeff (Marsha) Kinney of
Hurst, TX , Todd (Julie) Kinney of Sheboygan, Kris (Jim) Van Engen of Sheboygan
Falls, Lisa Kinney of Sheboygan, and Cheryl Kinney of Sheboygan, grandchildren;
Amanda, Ryan, Nicole, Danielle, Morgan, Madison, and Brianna, sister Shirley Adelhelm
of Brooklyn, NY, mother of his children, Germaine Kinney, and other nieces,
nephews, relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, February 3, 2019
at 1:30 PM at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8
th
St. Sheboygan, with Rev. Beth Petzke officiating. Burial will take place at Sunrise Memorial
Gardens. Relatives and friends may visit
with the family on Sunday, February 3, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until the time of
service at the FUNERAL HOME.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to either the Mead
Public Library Foundation or the Sheboygan Falls High School Athletic
Department
