Katherine “Kitty” Gutche Pfeifer, 77, of Howards Grove, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Rocky
Knoll Health Care Center. Kitty was born May 20, 1941, in Deerfield, to the late Clarence and Della
(Wegenke) Gutche. She graduated from Sheboygan Falls High School in 1959. On May 8, 1965, she
married Bob Pfeifer at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sheboygan Falls. He preceded her in death on
January 7, 2009.
Kitty worked at Diecast Tecumseh in Sheboygan Falls for 13 years, then she worked at Alumaroll, retiring
on May 31, 2003. After her retirement, she worked at Zieggy’s, Al and Al’s and Hika Bay Tavern in
Cleveland as a bartender and waitress, which she enjoyed and met a lot of nice people. Kitty enjoyed
gambling, traveling with friends and loved to play Sheepshead with her boys at tournaments. She was a
member of St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, Elkhart Lake, where she served as a communion
distributor.
Survivors include her three sons, David (Kelly) Pfeifer, Dennis (Debbie) Pfeifer and Donnie (Dawn)
Pfeifer; six grandchildren, Nikki, Ashley, Megan, Devin, Diranda and Jacob; two great-grandchildren,
Chas and Teelah; one sister, Betty (Peter) Damrow; one brother-in-law, Tom (Judy) Pfeifer and two
sisters-in-law. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and too many friends
to mention!
In addition to her parents and husband, Bob, she preceded in death by one brother, Phillip Gutche and
two brothers-in-law, Dick Pfeifer and Don Pfeifer.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 19, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Zimmer’s Westview Funeral
and Cremation Care Center (Hwy 42 & JJ, Howards Grove) with Rev. Dennis E. Van Beek officiating.
Friends may call on Saturday, at the funeral home, from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Interment
