William E. Heberlein, age 89, of Plymouth, WI, passed away early Thursday morning (Jan. 10, 2019) at Anita’s
Gardens in Plymouth where he had been a resident for the past 5 months.
He was born on October 20, 1929 in Portage, WI, a son of the late Paul and Mabel (Corssen) Heberlein.
He attended Portage grade schools and graduated from Portage High School in 1947.
Bill served in the United States Air Force from 1948 – 1952.
On December 26, 1954 he married Patricia Schyvinck. The couple lived in Madison, Beaver Dam and
Wisconsin Dells before moving to Plymouth in 1964 and purchasing Bades Drug Store. They operated
Heberlein’s Drug Store until retiring in 1995.
Bill was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic church and sang in the Classic Choir for many
years. He also played in the Plymouth Municipal Band for many years along with his children. He is also a member
of the Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243 of Plymouth, and a charter member of Plymouth Dance Club.
He was very active in theatre and singing. Bill performed in the plays, “1776” and “Bye Bye Birdie” at the
Sheboygan Theatre. He also was a docent at Plymouth Art Center and the Plymouth Historical Society.
Survivors include: Three sons: Gregory (Deborah) of Plymouth, Geoffrey (Loretta) of Rockford, IL and Gary (Jamie)
of Wentzville, MO; Two daughters; Constance (Kevan) McClintock of Plymouth and Cynthia (David) Vander Galien
of Van Dyne, WI; Six grandchildren; Kelsey Wallis, Colin McClintock, Bryce (Mikayla) and Evan Vander Galien,
Amanda (Andy) Fry and Barry (Mark-Anthony) Dallman; Three great grandchildren: Carter, Lydia, and Abbilyn Fry;
Four sisters-in-law: Dorothy Owens of Onalaska, WI, Phyllis (Bob) Flemming of Waukesha, WI, and Theresa Weitzel
of Reedsburg and Linda Schyvinck of Reedsburg; and One brother-in-law: Bernard (Donna) Schyvinck of Burlington,
WI.
He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by: His parents; Wife: Patti; Three brothers: Douglas (Helene), Robert (Louise), and
Gordon (Helen); Sister: Doris (Gordon) Erickson; One sister-in-law; and Three brothers-in-law.
A Prayer Service will be held on Monday (January 14, 2019) at 7:00 P.M. at the Suchon Funeral Home in Plymouth.
Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. The Ladewig-Zinkgraf American Legion Post 243 will conduct military rites
following the services.
Cremation will take place following the services and inurnment will be at St. John the Baptist Catholic Cemetery in
Plymouth.
Visitation will be held at Suchon Funeral Home on Monday (Jan. 14) from 2:00 P.M. until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Bill’s name.
