Arlene Joan Jensterle, age 80, of Random Lake, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her
loving family on December 24, 2018.
She was born on June 26, 1938 in Milwaukee, daughter of the late William and Lydia (Surmer)
Schroeder.
Arlene attended Cudahy grade schools and graduated from Cudahy High School in 1956.
In February 1957, she married John Zierhut. The couple lived in Milwaukee following their marriage and
moved to Random Lake in 1974. John preceded her in death in April 1979.
Arlene worked at Marine Bank and later at Omniquip in Port Washington, retiring in 2000.
On May 15, 1981, she married John Jensterle. The couple resided in Random Lake since their marriage.
Arlene loved travelling, gardening, reading, and gambling. She also had a great love for all animals,
especially her dogs; and cherished spending time with her loving family.
Survivors include: Husband: John Jensterle of Random Lake; Three daughters: Carrie Schultz of Dryden,
Ontario, Jody (Wade) Holeman of Random Lake, and Kelly (Chris) Laumann of Random Lake; Three step
sons: Jody Jensterle of Sheboygan, Todd (Stacey) Jensterle of Pulaski, and Casey Jensterle of Barton, WI;
Seven grandchildren: Tyler (Delaney) Schultz, Breanne (Gary) Friesen, Chelsey (Kyle) Schmitz, Quinton
Holeman, Max (Shawna) Laumann, Erik Holeman, and Lydia Laumann; Great-grandchildren: Jack, Brock,
Zachary, and Frederick; Step grandchildren; Step great-grandchildren.
She is further survived by: Brother: Curt (Kathie) Staszak of South Milwaukee; Four sisters-in-law: Betty
Deppiesse of Belgium, Carol Panick of Port Washington, Judy (Peter) Didier of Grafton, and Andrea
(Mike) Mozolik of AZ; Brother-in-law: Jay Zierhut of Sheboygan; as well as many nieces, nephews, other
relatives and friends.
Arlene was preceded in death by: Her parents; First husband: John Zierhut; and Sister: Agnes (Bob) Fohr.
A Celebration of Arlene’s Life will take place on Saturday (December 29, 2018) at 2:00 P.M. in the lower
banquet hall at Five Pillars in Random Lake. Family and friends may gather from 1:30 – 2:00 P.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested in Arlene’s name to the Sheboygan County Humane Society.
