Warren Charles Wentz
, 87, of Sheboygan, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2018 at Sunny Ridge. Warren was born on May 29, 1931 to the late Gerald and Aurelia Wentz in Elkhart Lake, WI. He was a graduate of Plymouth High School in the class of 1949. Warren served in the United States Army during the Korean War. He was united in marriage on July 2, 1955 to Mary Ann Novak at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Warren worked for American Excelsior for over 41 years and was a longtime member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Sheboygan. Warren enjoyed bowling, fishing and going to the cottage up north.
Warren is survived by his wife, Mary Ann; children, Debra (Gary) Dekker of Sheboygan Falls, Wanda (Jim) Horzen of Sheboygan, Peggy (Dan) Tresp of Sheboygan, Karen (Dave) Tresp of Sheboygan, David (Susannah) Wentz of Plymouth, and Rob (Jenny) Wentz of Greendale; grandchildren, Mandy (Terek) Ertman, Jeremy Dekker (special friend Amanda Schulze), Matthew Horzen (special friend Abby Safranski), Megan Horzen (special friend Andrew Schultz and son Eli), Ryan (Sara) Tresp, Jennifer (Lucas) Oppeneer, Andrew Tresp (special friend Bella Ertel), Connor Tresp, Emily Wentz (special friend Patrick Stillwell), Benjamin Wentz, Lauren Wentz and Abigail Wentz; great-grandchildren, Aryssa Ertman, Tailyn Ertman, Taria Ertman, Jackson Tresp, Carter Tresp, Bryson Oppeneer, Parker Oppeneer, Adeline and Emmett Stillwell; siblings, Lorraine Grams of Sheboygan Falls, Dorothy (Warren) Arthur of Sheboygan Falls, Kenneth Wentz of Sheboygan, Vyra Thiel of Plymouth, Myra (John) Pfeifer of Glenbulah, Judith (Alton) Pfeifer of Sheboygan and Clint (Reda) Wentz of Florida as well as many nieces and nephews.
Warren is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers-in-law, Marvin Grams and Adrian Thiel.
A memorial service will be held at Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12
th
St., Sheboygan, on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. with visitation from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
