Vernetta G. Stentz, age 84, of Sheboygan passed away on Monday, November 26, 2018 at Countryside
Manor.
She was born in Howards Grove on June 17, 1934 to the late Henry and Mable (Sonneman) Ibe. She
attended local schools and graduated from Kiel High School. She was united in marriage to Clarence
Stentz at Trinity Lutheran Church in Howards Grove on September 13, 1952. He preceded her in death
on August 1, 2010.
Vernetta enjoyed crafting, playing games, especially bingo, and spending precious time with her two
cousins. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew
her.
Vernetta is survived by a daughter Michele (Jeff Kettler) Meerdink; a son Rocquie (Rebecca) Stentz;
grandchildren, Tristan (Abigail) Meerdink, Tyler (Lauren) Stentz and Mason Stentz; great-grandchildren,
Aiden, Scarlett and Vivian Meerdink and Cameron Stentz; a brother Jack Prisinger and a sister-in-law
Bette Ibe. Other friends and family members further survive.
Along with her husband she was preceded in death by an infant son Bradley; a brother Carl Ibe; a sister
Bernice Milz; a brother-in-law Willard Milz and a sister-in-law Mary Prisinger.
A Funeral Service for Vernetta will he held at 12:30 PM on Monday, December 3, 2018 at Zimmer
Westview Funeral and Cremation Care Center, W2132 Garton Rd. in Sheboygan. Family will greet
visitors on Monday, at the funeral home, from 10:30 AM until the time of service. Entombment will take
place at the Garden of Peace Mausoleum.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Vernetta’s name.
The family would like to personally thank Shirley and Darlene for always bringing a smile to Vernetta’s
face and giving her so many great memories.
