Robert H. Nytes, 92, of Sheboygan, passed into the Loving Arms of God on Thursday, November 22,
2018. Robert was born in Sheboygan Falls on May 25, 1926. Raised with his siblings on the family dairy
farm, Bob knew his way around farm equipment and crop harvesting. He was drafted in the Army
during the Korean Conflict. He was trained in Ft. Hood, TX, appointed to Cpl., and sent to Germany. He
served 1950- 1952. He married LuEva Mueller on May 9, 1951. They raised their children in Sheboygan
and were long time members of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church.
Robert was employed by Plastics Engineering Company and worked for Oostdyke & Wilke. He retired
from Plastics Engineering Co. in 1988 after working there 25 years. Bob and Lu loved dancing to “Big
Band” music. This hobby took them on numerous trips with many friends and family. Bob took up golf
after retirement and enjoyed reading, watching sports, Bingo, and family visits. After 65 years of
marriage and 57 years in the southside home; Bob and Lu decided to move into Prairie Crossing in
Sheboygan Falls. They then became members of Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler.
Survived by his loving wife of 67 years, LuEva; children; Jane (Peter II) Scaffidi, Julie (Radotich)
McDonald, Jeffery (Kim) Nytes, grandchildren; Nicole (Jonathan) Radotich-Birkholz, Danielle Radotich,
Ketley (Andy Patton) Scaffidi, Peter Scaffidi III, Gordon (Aimee) Nytes, and Patrick Nytes, and great-
grandson Nolan Radotich-Birkholz, and two on the way. He is also survived by sisters Grace (Gazetti),
Jeanette (Kapp), Gladys (Gazetti), Barbara (Kretschman), Catherine (Meyer) (Roger) Winterberg, and
brothers, Theodore (Sharon) Nytes, and Charles (Kathleen) Nytes, sister-in-law Shirley Mueller, also
many many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents
Henry and Clara Nytes, brother Gilbert Nytes, sisters, Ruth Kapellen and Theresa Tracy, and brother-in-
law Neil Mueller.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, January 11, 2019 at 11:00 AM at Greenlawn Memorial Park,
6706 Superior Ave., Kohler, with Rev. Robert Steele officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the
family on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church in Robert’s name.
