Edward G. Autio, 79, of Sheboygan, passed away Monday, November 26, 2018, at home. Ed was born
May 29, 1939, in Waukegan, IL to the late Eino and Laina (Nordlund) Autio. In 1962, he married the
former Karen Enkro. The couple had two children, Lisa and Eric. She preceded him in death in 1982. Ed
married Marlene Ciha in August of 1983. He was employed by Outboard Marine and the Kohler
Company as a data processor and was a data processing instructor at LTC until his retirement in 1995.
He was a member of DPMA and was an active member of Calvary Evangelical Lutheran Church where he
volunteered in the food pantry.
Ed enjoyed fishing, playing Bridge, traveling, aviation, model trains, golfing with Carl, watching football
and was a life-long Chicago Cubs fan. He also enjoyed sitting with the grandchildren when they were
small, watching the grandchildren grow and welcoming his great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Marlene, two children, Lisa (Scott) Benson, Menomonee Falls and Eric Autio
(Jenny Keene), Sheboygan; four grandchildren, Sarah (Brad) Fiedler, Scott Benson, Joseph Benson and
Eino Autio; two great-grandchildren, Easton and Levi Fiedler, who was born November 20, 2018; one
sister, Dr. Louise Autio, Corpus Christi, TX; his close friends, Carl (Wanda) Sass and John Gunderson. He
is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Ed was preceded in death by his parents and first wife.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at 2:30 p.m. at Calvary Evangelical
Lutheran Church (2132 N. 27 th Street, Sheboygan) with Rev. Randall Styx officiating. Friends may call on
