Marshall L. Williams, 73, of Milwaukee, passed away Thursday evening, November 15, 2018 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in Sheboygan Falls, WI.
Born January 3, 1945 in Pittsburgh, PA, Marshal and his twin brother, Michael, were sons of the late Ulysses and Geraldine Morris Williams. He attended schools in Pittsburgh and graduated from Connelley Vocational High School. He went on to proudly serve his country in the U.S. Air Force from 1965 until his honorable discharge in 1968.
Marshall worked in Milwaukee for the General Electric Company for many years prior to his retirement. He previously worked for General Electric in Pittsburgh as a service technician and as a welder for the J.P. Devine Manufacturing Company. He was an active member of St. Peter's Episcopal Church in West Allis, WI, where he was awarded the Bishop's Shield in 2012 in recognition for his service and ministry.
Marshall was an active volunteer and mentor for many years at the Running Rebels Community Organization in Milwaukee which serves Milwaukee's youth by engaging, mentoring and guiding youth towards an alternative path that will ensure their future success. This past October, we was awarded the Running Rebels Lifetime Achievement Award.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, hiking and backpacking. He loved adventures, exploring, learning, nature and traveling.
He is survived by his twin brother, Michael (Rochelle) Williams, and his two sisters, Lettye Jackson and Wanda Kyd Ferguson, all of Pittsburgh, PA. He is further survived by his aunt, Eula Muckler, Atlanta, GA, and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
According to his wishes, there will be no scheduled services but his desire was that you memorialize him in your own faith based conscience.
