Olivia Lozano, 80, of Sheboygan, passed away Tuesday morning, October 30, 2018 at Sheboygan Progressive Care Center where she had been residing.
Born February 4, 1938 in Laredo, TX, Olivia was the daughter of the late Francisco and Alvina Salazar Lozano.
Olivia was a homemaker who was a wonderful cook and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was an active member of St. Clement Catholic Church where she served as a reader. She also volunteered at St. Nicholas Hospital.
She is survived by her two children, Olivia Mata, Sheboygan, and John Torres, Jr., Sheboygan; her three grandchildren, Megan Mata, Johnny Ray Torres and Cheyenne Torres, all of Sheboygan; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Francisco, Jr. and Guadalupe Lozano.
Funeral services for Olivia will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 5, 2018 at the Olson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 1132 Superior Avenue. The Rev. Gideon Buya will officiate. Family and friends are welcome at the funeral home on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
The family would like to thank Dr. Cynthia Northup and the nurses and staff of Sheboygan Progressive and the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice for all of their loving care and support.
A memorial fund has been established in her name.
