Janet Grace Schug, 82, of Plymouth, passed away with family at her side on Sunday, October 21, 2018, at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice.
Janet was born on July 31, 1936, in Sheboygan, daughter of Edward Charles and Marion Grace (Grooms) McDougal. She attended Kohler schools and graduated from Sheboygan North High School in 1955. On September 28, 1957, she married Lony Schug at St. Dominic Catholic Church in Sheboygan. Janet accompanied her husband to Germany while he served in the US Army. She was employed with Don’s Beauty Salon, the County Hospital Beauty Shop, and Camp Anokijig.
She enjoyed and loved her kids, grandkids, and great-grandchildren. Janet also enjoyed, bingo, watching the Brewers, camping, and a good game of dice or cribbage. Janet was an active leader with both Campfire Girls and 4H.
Janet is survived by her loving husband, Lony Schug; three children, Sharon (Lloyd) Feldmann, Michael (Sharon) Schug, Mary (Brad) Payne; her grandchildren, Travis (Jaime) Feldmann, Shauna (Rick) Kretchmann, Lesa (Kurt) Athorp, Jeanna (Scott) Milz, Ryan (Anne) Schug, Thomas (Aarika) Schug, Steven (Jordan) Schug, Jamie (Aaron) Skrube, and Jeremy (Ashley) Setzer; 14 great-grandchildren Kaitlyn, Kadience, Krista, Kari, Kira, Avia, Tripp, Nash, Kayleigh, Eastyn, Danica, Evelyn, Mason and Paxton; and three sisters-in-law, Patti (Leonard) Rosenwald, Barbara (Robert) Dickman, Sandra Siefert.
Janet was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Marion McDougal; daughter, Susan Schug; her granddaughter, Crystal; her sister, Maxine Hall; and an infant sister.
A memorial service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 24, 2018, at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls. Relatives and friends may gather at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3:00 pm until the time of the service at 5:00 pm. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary Catholic Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
A memorial fund has been established in Janet’s name.
