Dwayne W. Grunow Sr., age 70, of Sheboygan, died on Tuesday, September 18, 2018 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice. He was born in Sheboygan on July 3, 1948, the son of the late William and Ione Hanson Grunow.
He attended local schools and graduated from Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah High School in 1966. On July 3, 1969, Dwayne was united in marriage to Sharon Verstrate in Illinois. He was employed at the Kohler Company for forty-two years, retiring in 2015.
Dwayne was member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church. He enjoyed hunting, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Grunow, of Sheboygan; two sons, Dwayne Grunow Jr., of Sheboygan and Chris (Samantha) Grunow, of Manitowoc; three grandchildren, Rebekah, Anna Mae and Marlee; a sister, Linda Grunow, of St. Nazianz, and his four brothers, Larry (Barbara) Grunow, of Sheboygan, William (Mary) Grunow, of Glenbeulah, Mark Grunow, of Plymouth and Bill Lucas. He is further survived by other relatives and friends. Dwayne was preceded in death by his parents, Bill Grunow and Ione Lucas.
A funeral service for Dwayne will be held on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. at the Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home, 1535 S. 12
th
St., Sheboygan with Rev. Alan D. Kubow officiating. Family and friends may gather at the funeral home on Monday from 11:30 a.m. until the time of service at 1:30 p.m. An entombment will take place at Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
