Frances Munnik Ver Duin, 96, passed away peacefully
September 16, 2018, at the home of her daughter and son in law. Frances was
born April 15, 1922, to Mary (Doelder) and John Munnik in Sheboygan. She
attended Sheboygan schools. On October 7, 1947, she was united in marriage to
Howard Ver Duin. He preceded her in death on September 9, 1990.
Frances will be remembered for her warm smile and for the
wise advice she gave her children. Delicious baked goods were always on hand
for her family to enjoy. She loved completing handwork projects. Frances was a
faithful member of the Netherlands Reformed Congregation. She is survived by a
daughter, Marilyn (James) Holden of Hartford, and two sons; Wayne (Cindy) Ver
Duin of Sheboygan Falls and Daryl (Jan) Ver Duin of Fordland, Missouri;
grandchildren, James (Yi Shun Lai) Holden, Jr., Jonathan Holden, Rachele (Adam)
Hansen, Megan and Kelly Ver Duin, Crystal (Wes) Derksen, Danielle, Tory,
Samuel, Morgan, Thomas, Rachele, Hannah and Logan Ver Duin; four great
grandchildren; two sisters in law; Dorothy Munnik and Eileen Ver Duin; a
brother in law, LeRoy Baumann, along with nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by a son, Charles Ver Duin; her
parents, stepfather, Cornelius Gort; brothers Adrian and Herman Munnik; sisters
Mary Baumann and Sophie Van Stelle; brothers in law Donald Van Ste!le and James
Ver Duin; sisters in law Elaine Munnik and Marie Vander Waal.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 21, at 1:00
PM, at Ballhorn Chapels Funeral & Cremation Care Center, 1201 N. 8

St. Sheboygan, with Rev. Arnoud Vergunst of Waupun Netherlands Reformed
Congregation officiating. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until the time of
service.
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund will be established in
Frances’s name.
The family would like to thank the staff at Columbia St.
Mary’s Hospital, Ozaukee Campus, for their excellent care during her
hospitalizations, Dr. Avi Bernstein for his home visits, and the nursing staff
of Compassus Hospice for their kindness and caring for Frances.
