Marjorie Peter, age 88, of
Random Lake, WI, passed away early Monday morning (September 3, 2018) at Gables
on the Pond in Random Lake where she was a resident for the past two years.

She was born on June 11, 1930
in the Town of
Scott,
Wisconsin, a daughter of the late Albert and
Viola Le Fever Melius.
She attended Batavia Grade
School and graduated from Random Lake High School in 1948.
On June 19, 1948, she married
Rollin Rutherford Peter at Zion United Methodist Church in Batavia. The couple has
resided in the Town of Scott since their marriage. He preceded her in death on September 3, 2009.
Marjorie was employed at the
West Bend Company for 28 years, retiring in 1992.
She was a member of Zion
United Methodist Church in Batavia and sang in the choir and served as an Usher. Her hobbies included Crossword Puzzles,
playing cards, Bingo and she loved the outdoors and mowing lawn.
Survivors
include her two children: Kathryn “Kate” Tykac of West Bend, WI, Dwight “Ike”
Peter (his wife: Pam) of Cascade, WI; Three Grandchildren: Sara (Jason) Schmidt of Wayne Center, WI, Stacy
Tykac (her husband: Jamie Flemming) of West Bend, WI, Amanda (Rob) DeVerney of Cascade,
WI; Four Great Grandchildren: Emerson Schmidt, Gabriel DeVerney, Anason Schmidt
and Tristan DeVerney; Two Sisters: Dottie Reinhardt of Plymouth, Delphine
Hartmann of Fredonia; and One Brother-in-law: Walt Hetzel of Beaumont, CA.
She
is also survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She
was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rutherford and
Erma Peter and one grandson: Gabriel Peter; Three Brothers: John (Bernice)
Melius, Russell (Merley) Melius, Clyde (Gladys) Melius; Three Sisters: Hazel
(Leo) Nussbaumer, Audrey (Ervin) Clyatt, LaMae Hetzel; Two brothers-in-law:
Rollie Reinhardt, Fritz Hartmann; and One special friend: Reuben Miller.
Memorial
services will be held on Sunday (September 23, 2018) at 3:00 P.M. at Zion
United Methodist Church in Batavia. Rev.
Dan Verdegan, Pastor of the Church and Rev. Gail Mitchell, will co-officiate. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will
take place in the parish cemetery.
Friends
may call at the CHURCH on Sunday (Sept. 23) from 1:00 P.M. until time of
service.
In
lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Marjorie’s name.
