Joanne I. Arndt, age 68, of Plymouth, WI, passed away on
Saturday (August 11, 2018) at Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice in
Sheboygan Falls surrounded by her family.
She was born on May 15, 1950 in Sheboygan, WI, a daughter
of the late Orrin and Lorraine (Hanke) Kuhn.
Joanne attended St. John the Baptist Catholic Grade School
in Plymouth and graduated from Elkhart Lake High School in 1968.
On February 8, 1975 she married Allen Arndt at St. John
the Baptist Catholic Church.
She worked as an office manager at Rocky Knoll Health Care
Center since junior year of high school until she retired and worked part time
at Plymouth Furniture for 20 years.
She was a lifelong member of St. John the Baptist Catholic
Church, where she was the first lady to be an Usher and was also a member of
the Church Adult Choir.
Joanne and her husband Allen traveled to Alaska and the
Yukon where they panned for gold. They also traveled to Las Vegas, Okinawa,
Germany, Switzerland, Austria, The Panama Canal, “Badwater” in Death Valley,
the lowest place in the Country, and to many other states throughout our
country.
Joanne enjoyed playing Bunco, Canasta, Sheepshead, and
slot machines. She also enjoyed reading about the Royal family and reading
Amish romance novels, traveling, camping, and spending time with family and
friends. What she really loved was listening to the rain, and watching snow,
and playing with her grandchildren, and eating ice cream.
Survivors include her husband: Allen; Two children:
Jonathan (Virenia) Arndt and Christopher Arndt; Five grandchildren: Randy,
Riley, and Sydney Arndt, Yoshiyuki and Yoshihiro Sesoko; Sister: Nancy (Allen)
Mauk; Sister-in-law: Doris (James) Frazer; Nephew: Jim Davis; and Niece and
Nephew: Brenda (Rex) Teal, and Brian (Katrina) Mauk.
She is also survived by other relatives and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents: Orrin and
Lorraine; Brother and sister-in-law: Randy, and Kerlin Arndt; and her father
and mother-in-law: Herb (Arlene) Arndt.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Mass will be held
on Saturday (August 18, 2018) at 12:00 Noon at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church
in Plymouth. Father Dennis Van Beek will officiate. Inurnment will take
place at Plymouth Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visitation will take place at the CHURCH on Saturday (Aug.
18) from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass.
