Margery LaVon Grossen, 86, passed away on August 3, 2018, at
home with family by her side. Born January
23, 1932 in Tipton, Iowa, Marge was the youngest child of the late Ernest and
Felma (Herring) Gaul. She was
predeceased by her husband, Reverend Louis W. Grossen, her brother, Richard and
her sister, Darlene.
She is survived by five children, Timothy of Plymouth,
Christine (Tom) Forsterling of Random Lake, Deborah (John) Lefebvre of
Plymouth, Richard (Patty) of Forest Lake MN, and James (Jodi) of Sheboygan
Falls; also, a brother, Monte Gaul of Tipton, IA.
Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Alyssa and Audrey
Grossen of Oklahoma City, OK, Jaquelyn Forsterling (Patrick) Guenther of Sun
Prairie, Jason (Jennifer) Mock of New Prague, MN, Eric Mock (Bouthena) of
Miami, FL, Andrew and Luke Grossen of Forest Lake, MN, Evan Grossen of
Sheboygan Falls, and Abigail Grossen (Tom) Develice of West Bend; also five great
grandchildren, Morgan Mock, Aiden, Landen and Alayna Guenther and Ethan Mock.
After attending rural grade school, she graduated from
Tipton (Iowa) High School and Mission House College (now Lakeland University)
in 1954. She furthered her education at
Indiana Ivy Tech becoming a medical assistant.
She worked in private home care before being employed at Pine Haven in
Sheboygan Falls. In addition to health
care, she worked in the Midwest interviewing for pollsters Lou Harris and
Gallup. She was a homemaker above all
but found time to be a den mother for the Cub Scouts and was supportive of women
and youth activities in church where her husband was a pastor.
Following retirement, Marge enjoyed cruise ship traveling
and visiting the many fascinating locales around the world with her husband,
family and friends.
According to her wishes, a private service will be held for
the immediate family. In lieu of
flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Lakeland University or Sharon S.
Richardson Community Hospice.
