Maureen
Ellen O’Connell, age 63, of Pigeon Falls, WI, died peacefully on Tuesday (July
31, 2018)
at the Gundersen
Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, WI, surrounded by family and friends.
She was born
on January 10, 1955 to the late Bernard and Catherine (Deegan) O’Connell.
Maureen
graduated from Plymouth High School. Her
adult life was spent in the Eau Claire area
where she
was close to her guardian brother: Jack.
Her last years were spent at the Pigeon Falls Health
Care Center
Nursing Home.
Maureen was
loved by all who knew her and she also loved all of those she knew. She liked
the simple
things in
life such as anything purple, board games, praying the rosary and her purse
full of make-up.
She is
survived by her sister; Mary O’Connell of Tucson, AZ, her brother; James
(Priscilla) O’Connell
of Sheboygan
Falls, WI. Loving nieces and nephews; Kathleen (Bob) Tournour of Plymouth, WI,
Bridget
(Jeff) Long of Kohler, WI, Patrick (Holly) O’Connell of West Bend, WI, Sean
O’Connell of
Eau Claire,
WI, and Tim O’Connell of Big Lake, MN. Sister-in-law;
Ellen O’Connell of Eau Claire, WI
and also by 12
great nieces and nephews.
She was
preceded in death by her parents and One brother; John “Jack” O’Connell.
Memorial
Mass will be held on Monday (August 6, 2018) at 5:00 P.M. at St. John the
Baptist
Catholic
Church in Plymouth. Father Philip
Reifenberg, pastor of the Church will officiate
and
inurnment will be in the Parish Cemetery.
Visitation
will be held at the CHURCH on Monday (August 6) from 4:00 P.M. until the
time of
Mass.
In lieu of
flowers, a memorial fund is being established in Maureen’s name.
