Steven D. Weinfurter, Age 49, of Sheboygan Falls, formerly
of Iron Mountain, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly due to complications after
surgery on Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Aurora Medical Center Grafton. He was born on August 25, 1968 the beloved
and amazing son of Howard and Pamela Weinfurter.
Steven graduated from Iron Mountain High School in
1986. He furthered his education at
Michigan Technological University and graduated in 1990 with a degree in
mechanical engineering.
Steven was united in marriage to Elena Chavez on October 29,
2011 at Sheboygan Yacht Club.
He started his career at Kohler Design in Kohler,
Wisconsin. He was employed by
Mayline/Safeco.
He enjoyed spending time with his precious grandbabies and
family. He had many wonderful
friends. He enjoyed taking motorcycle
rides, Wednesday night bag league, kayaking, tennis, bowling, snowmobiling, and
skiing. He was an avid Detroit Lions,
Detroit Redwings, and Detroit Tigers fan.
He is survived by his loving wife Elena of Sheboygan Falls,
six wonderful children, Amanda (Jon) Brault, Josh (Sarah) Hoheneder, Paige
(Alex) Hoheneder, Kirsten Weinfurter, Katlyn (Reggie) Brunner, and Drew
(Brooke) Brunner; seven wonderful
grandchildren, Dez’mani, Zelena, A’zailea, Zenya, Mayleigh, Marijana, and
Damien; his loving parents Howard and Pamela Weinfurter; his sister Sheri
(Paul) Simone; mother-in-law Margarita Yurk; special uncle Keith Cerasoli;
uncle Wayne Cerasoli; sister-in-law Chris (Rick) Flood; brother-in-law Dennis
(Shelly) Yurk; brother-in-law Thom (Wendy) Yurk; sister-in-law Rosa Chavez;
sister-in-law Diana (Sean) McMillin; sister-in-law Pam (Mark) Richter; sister-in-law
Amy (Dan) Kiedrowski. He was blessed to
be survived by many wonderful nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many
special friends.
Steven was preceded in death by his father-in-law Fred Yurk;
grandparents Dick and Ellen Cerasoli; and Ed and Viola Weinfurter.
A celebration of his life will be on Wednesday, August 1,
2018, at 6:00 p.m. at Ballhorn Chapels, 1201 N. 8th Street, Sheboygan,
Wisconsin, with Rev. Greg Whelton officiating.
