Dolores LaVonne Minarik, 86, of Sheboygan Falls went home to
her Lord and Savior and her husband Leonard on Saturday, July 14, 2018 at
Countryside Manor in the town of Sheboygan.
Dolores was born on May 29, 1932 in Birnamwood to William
and Margaret (Pietz) Lemke. She was a 1950 graduate of Birnamwood High School.
On May 29, 1954 she married Leonard Minarik in Birnamwood. He preceded her in
death on October 10, 2001. Dolores was a secretary at Rightway Construction and
Seider Apartments for 20 years until her retirement in 1995. She also worked
part time at the Sheboygan Falls Elementary School.
Dolores was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in
Sheboygan Falls where she was a Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of
the Friends Society. Dolores enjoyed playing bridge, golfing, dancing and
traveling.
Dolores is survived by one daughter, Krin (Alan) Rabe; three
sons, Brek (Nancy), Kurt and Troy (Cliff) Minarik; nine grandchildren, Brenton,
Colton, Duston, and Dakota Rabe, Brek W., Robyn, Traci, Laine and Kira Minarik;
five great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Violet (Jim) Hansen, Barbara
Habeck and Sandra (Jim) Meidl. She is further survived by nieces, nephews,
other relatives and friends.
Dolores was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard,
and one brother-in-law, Dale Habeck.
A funeral service to celebrate Dolores’s life will be held
on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls at 11am
with Rev. Kyle Backhaus officiating. Burial will be at Sheboygan Falls Cemetery.
Relatives and friends may greet the family on Friday, July
20, 2018 at the Wenig Funeral Home in Sheboygan Falls from 5-7pm and again on
Saturday, July 21, 2018 from 10am until the time of service at 11am.
A memorial fund is being established in her name.
