Earl Arthur Meinen, 87, of Cedar
Grove, passed away on Saturday, July 7, 2018, at Pine Haven Christian Home in
Sheboygan Falls.
Earl was born on November 10,
1930, in the Town of Holland, to Arthur and Emily (Meylink) Meinen. He was a
graduate of Cedar Grove High School in 1948. On September 9, 1955, Earl married
Frances Hyink in Cedar Grove. Earl served his country in the United States
Army. Earl was a mason and a business partner at Cedar Grove Block and
Construction until his retirement
Earl was a founding member of
Faith Reformed Church in Cedar Grove, where he served as treasurer and deacon
and sang in the church choir. Earl enjoyed fishing, bowling, doing puzzles,
vacations to Florida, bus trips with friends, going to the Fireside Dinner
Theater and he loved to tinker.
Earl is survived by his wife, Frances
Meinen of Cedar Grove; daughter, Susan Mulder of Kalamazoo, MI; two sons, Gil
(Julie) Meinen, and Ward (Debbie) Meinen both of Cedar Grove; seven
grandchildren, Bret (Heidi) Meinen, Katie (Michael) Lubbert, Chad (Megan)
Mulder, Molly (Drew) Schuelke, Jessica (Marcus) Buehler, Courtney Mulder, and
Erika Meinen; five great-grandchildren, Brianna and Connor Meinen, Greysen Lubbert,
Everett Schuelke and Myla Jay Mulder; two sisters, Ruth Kruis, and Vera (Ray)
Lammers; brother, Wayne (Muriel) Meinen; and five sisters-in-law, Delores
Meinen, Delores Kappers, Charlene Dana, LaFayne Judson, and Rodell Riemersma. He
is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Earl was preceded in death by his
parents, parents-in-law, Chester and Agnes Hyink; two brothers, Owen Meinen,
and Robert (Lenore) Meinen; sister-in-law, Iris (Donald) Rauwerdink; four
brothers-in-law, Eugene Kappers, Gordy Dana, Irv Judson, and Andrew Riemersma.
A memorial service to celebrate
Earl's life will be held on Friday, July 13, 2018, at 6pm at Faith Reformed
Church in Cedar Grove with Rev. Ronald Sanford officiating. An inurnment will
be at Union Cemetery.

the family at Faith Reformed Church in Cedar Grove on Friday, July 13, 2018
from 3pm until the time of service at 6pm.
A memorial fund is being
established in his name for Pine Haven Christian Home and Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice.
The family wishes to extend a

Christian Home and Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice, Dr. Hancock and his
staff for all their care and compassion they gave to Earl.
