Betty H. Bawden, 90, of Sheboygan Falls and formerly of
Kohler, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018, at Pine Haven Covenant Home.
Betty was born on April 15, 1928, in Sheboygan, daughter of
Albert and Erna (Knopp) Drexler. She was
a 1946 graduate of Kohler High School.
On October 18, 1958, she married Clyde H. Bawden in Kohler. He preceded her in death on February 1,
2018. Betty was employed as an administrative
assistant with Kohler Company for 38 years until her retirement in 1990.
Betty was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church in
Kohler where she was active in the church council, as a Bible study leader, and
on the pastor call and building committees.
She served as the church secretary from 1950-1981. She was a member of
the Kohler Company Quarter Century Club and was a Festival of Trees
volunteer. Betty enjoyed antiques and
flowers.
Betty is survived by her three brothers-in-law, Jerome
(Joyce) Bawden of Sheboygan, Arthur Bawden of Minocqua, and George Bawden of Brookfield;
and many friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years,
Clyde, her parents, and two sisters-in-law, June (Raymond) Knight and Dorothy
Bawden.
Funeral services to celebrate Betty’s life will be held at 11:00
am on Friday, June 29, 2018, at Bethany Lutheran Church in Kohler with Rev. Robert
Steele officiating. Burial will take
place at Woodland Cemetery in Kohler.
Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 10:00
am until the time of the service at 11:00 am
A memorial fund has been established in Betty’s name for
Bethany Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Lutheran High School, and Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice.
Special appreciation is extended to the caregivers of
Prairie Crossing and Pine Haven Covenant Home, and the staff of Sharon S. Richardson
Community Hospice for their kind and compassionate care. Also, a blessed thank you and God’s blessings
to Karl and Barb Kaeppler and long time dear friend, Carol Horness.
